Causes of Hair Loss in Men – Men’s Hair Replacement System
April 11, 2019

Physical ailments, such as anorexia, thyroid disease, anemia, and ringworm of the scalp can further trigger hair loss. Some medications such as chemotherapy demonstrate other typical causes of balding. Excessive stress levels and smoking are also heralded as a culprit for thinning hair.
Anyone can experience hair loss but is most common in men. Hereditary hair loss with age is the most common cause of baldness. More than half of men of 50 or older have signs of hair loss. For the most part, we blame our family tree, but there are other possible reasons. As people age, their rate of hair growth slows down. There are many types of hair loss, one is known as “alopecia”:
Involutional Alopecia: a condition that increases breakage and thinness hair over time. More hair follicles go into the resting phase, and the remaining hairs become shorter.
Androgenic Alopecia: a genetic condition that affects men and women. “Male Pattern Baldness” is a man suffering from this condition. It occurs at a teenage or as early as in your 20’s. For men, it is characterized by receding hairline and gradual disappearance in hair from the crown and frontal scalp.
Alopecia areata starts suddenly and cause patchy hair loss. People suffering from this condition about 90% get their hair to re-grow within a few years.
Telogen: effluvium is temporary hair thinning over the scalp that occurs because of changes in the growth cycle of hair. A large number of hairs enter the resting phase at the same time, causing hair shedding and subsequent thinning.
