Jon Renau Toppers & Easihair’s Quick Tool for Choosing Right Wiglets
April 04, 2016
Choosing to wear additions like hair extensions, wiglets, toppers and more is a big step in your hair journey, and you’ll want to make sure that you are selecting just the right thing.
Many women choose wiglets and toppers to fill in thinning hair on top, and it’s a great choice!
Here is how to find the topper that will fit you like a glove:
Step 1. Measuring
- Determine the area of your hair loss.
- Using a fabric measuring tape, measure area from front to back and record results
- Measure area from side to side and record results
- Be sure to factor in clip attachments on base. There must be a sufficient amount of hair to attach the clip to. An adhesive is a secondary option.
Step 2. Choose Your Wiglet
There are several options when it comes to wiglets including Top Form, Top Secret, and many more. Your type of hair loss and measurements will help you choose from the options below to fit your topper or wiglet best:

Step 3. How to Apply and Wear Wiglets and Toppers
- Once you have chosen your toppers (we highly recommend Jon Renau pieces), place over an area of hair loss and check in the mirror for balance and style
- Apply the front of the topper about 1″-2″ back from your natural hairline. (If there is no hair at the front part, remove the front clip and apply using adhesive).
- Secure front, then attach clips in back, keeping base flat and tight against the head.
- Blend topper with your own hair and style as desired.
