How do I clean my synthetic wig or synthetic hairpiece?
1. Before washing your wig or hairpiece, gently remove any tangles with a paddle brush or a wide-tooth comb.
2. Hold the wig or hairpiece under cool running water. Gently lather the hair with a small amount of shampoo while making sure that the hair is traveling in the same direction.
- DO NOT rub hair as this may cause tangling.
3. Rinse thoroughly with cool water until water runs clear.
4. Wrap the wig or hairpiece in a towel and gently pat dry just enough to stop dripping.
5. Gently detangle hair using your fingertips.
6. Spray conditioning spray (3-5 pumps) keeps away from the wig or hairpiece's base.
7. Allow the wig or hairpiece to air dry naturally by placing it on a wig stand or mannequin.
- DO NOT blow dry. The wig or hairpiece has to be in moderately damp condition; it shouldn’t be soaked or dripping everywhere.
8. Store your wig or hairpiece on a wig stand or mannequin to maintain the wig’s style best.
